Books-A-Million Rewards Program: UX/UI Redesign (Course Project)

In my UX/UI course during my master’s program, I created a mockup redesign of the Books-A-Million rewards program sign-up experience. The goal was to improve usability by simplifying the homepage layout, cleaning up the menu navigation, and developing clear call-to-action (CTA) buttons to streamline the membership sign-up process.

Project Goals

The goal of this project was to enhance the user experience of Books-A-Million’s loyalty program sign-up process. I focused on improving usability and streamlining the customer journey by:

  • Simplifying the homepage layout to reduce visual clutter and increase the average session duration.

  • Reducing menu categories from 13 to 8 to improve navigation and minimize decision paralysis.

  • Designing clear, consistent CTA buttons to encourage sign-ups for the Millionaire’s Club rewards program.

  • Creating a cleaner, more intuitive checkout flow to support higher conversion rates.

Please note: This redesign was completed in Figma as part of a UX/UI course in my master’s program.
